How Fences Make Good Neighbors

Robert Frost wrote that, “Good fences make good neighbors.” The idea behind this phrase is that if you build boundaries between you and your neighbor and respect each other’s privacy, there are going to be fewer conflicts.

Wire fencing, like that produced by a pvc extruder machine, can go a long way in helping neighbors build a heathy relationship. For example, if a person knows for a certainty where their yard begins and where their neighbor’s yard ends, there won’t be any disagreements. It is impossible to accidentally mow your neighbor’s yard if there is a fence in between.

If there is a fence that prevents your dog from digging up your neighbor’s flower bed or that prevents your children from jumping on your neighbor’s trampoline everyone will experience increased peace and a reduction in conflict. Boundaries are a great way to make the relationship between neighbors better.

Fences also provide a level of security. Some fences are built with barbed wires on top or other forms of razor wire to prevent unauthorized access. Some fences are even equipped with an electrical charge to prevent people from climbing over them and entering your home.

In addition to serving as a security measure, fences have long been seen as a way of enhancing the appearance of the property. There are many decorative fences, especially wooden picket fences, that are seen as being very homey and attractive.

Fences can protect your property from wild animals. This is especially true if you have small livestock on your property, like rabbits and chickens. Fences can keep out predators. Some predators, like cats, can climb the fences, but even if they do, it is difficult for them to get out with any prey that they have captured.

When boundaries are clearly laid out and everyone feels that their personal property is protected, it is easier for them to get along and have a kind neighborly relationship.…
